History

Sta. Fe Resort & Convention Center is the first privately owned resort in Bacolod City having been established in the 1940′s. Sta. Fe Resort was originally a hacienda of Don Generoso Villanueva, Sr. He started to develop and landscaped Sta. Fe as a hobby and as a means to give recreation to his hacienda laborers.

With the implementation of the minimum wage law and recreation tax,  the heirs of Don Generoso Villanueva, Sr., had no choice but to treat Sta. Fe Resort as a business venture. On June 23, 1987, Sta. Fe Resort was incorporated and its original incorporators are Gloria R. Villanueva, Nena R. Villanueva, Lilia V. Villanueva, Elenita P. Azcona and Alice S. Varela.

Today, the pioneering efforts of Don Generoso set the standard for the resort business in Bacolod.  The tradition of providing excellent service and world class amenities at a reasonable price has been passed on to the heirs of Don Generoso who continue to keep his legacy alive and vibrant.

Sports and Recreation Destination

Sta. Fe Resort is the only resort in Bacolod City with a complete gun club facility. It is the official shooting range of the Central Negros Shooters Association.
